During his press conference in Hawaii, President Obama referenced being "here in Asia." As Americans know, Hawaii is the 50th state, admitted to the Union on Aug. 21, 1959. Mr. Obama also lists Hawaii as his birthplace, which makes his reference even more curious. So, is Hawaii part of Asia?

Walking down the street on my way to Annie's Steak House near my hotel (Rouge) off of 16th. I see a sign in a window "Lobster - Fresh - Maine - 17.95" and I can go right in! I'm not walking any further! The Steak will have to wait until I have the Lobster... ;-)

BWI to DC via Amtrak... No Bags! US Air says they will deliver them.

See I checked the bags in Fresno through to BWI. I had planned to take Amtrak to the Hotel. I couldn't find my bags on the carousel... Hmmm what's up. Well turns out my bags are in Charlotte NC.

The tight connection in PHX caused my bags to be delayed! Well in this case I count it as a BLESSING - one bags weighs 84lbs, the other 61lbs. At least they are on there way and US Air will deliver them to the Hotel tonight!

This is one time I'm not sad about delayed bags.

I was told to expect them around midnight tonight.
