Six Perfect Days

Starting out from Fresno we head to FAT ... that's the place where all the Air Planes hang out. Alyssa and I have been anticipating the adventure/vacation since January 2008. I have been dreaming of "getting away from it all" with my wife since before Nicholas was born. Nicholas is now 19 months old and there are two ways to look at a 19 month old.

1. Just watch him play and explore...learn, climb and laugh... he is a "get-away" I'd rather watch him that watch anything else...

2. 19 month old children are a lot of work and love to push all your buttons...and then scream! and run away with what ever it was you had that they new you did not want them to have.. ie: Cell Phone, Scissors, important work paper...

The GOAL Relax, Recharge, Enjoy!

There was a point about a month ago when we both thought that there was no way we could take Nicholas on this "Vacation" for if we did it would not be a "Vacation" at all.

LoisAnn my wonderfull mother-law arrived at our drive-way @ 8:40AM April 25th, and called from her Cell Phone to announce "I am here" .... Alyssa and I were frantically trying to pack all the "stuff" we would need for 6 days in Hawaii ... Plus the 4 days in Anaheim for the CDA Imideatly following our Vacation. How is it possible to pack for two adults and a small child for a 10 day trip using just 4 bags? It seems that Alyssa figured it all out. And I want to point out I was the frantic one. Alyssa was very calm and collected and kept repeating ... just calm down it will all be just fine... She held this composure of calm, cool and well prepared ... until we were half way to the FAT ... and Alyssa said... where is the Umbrella Stroller! LoisAnn let out with a chuckle... "It's in there"

More ... and some observations about Nicholas's First Plane Ride ....
